US Passports. How much do they cost? Click here to find out and apply online. That is one of the most common questions that we receive at our help desk. To answer the question of what the costs are, you’ll have to look at your travel circumstances. Here is a breakdown of the fees involved:
These are average costs of WALK-IN applications
- If you are over the age of 16 and apply for a new US Passports book, you’ll pay $75 to the State Department and then a $25 execution fee. The total cost would be $100.
- If you are over the age of 16 and apply to renew expired US Passports, you’ll pay $75 in total fees.
- If you are a minor and currently under the age of 16, then you apply for a new children’s US Passports and that cost is $60 to the State Department and then a $25 execution fee. Total cost for your passport would be $85.
The aforementioned State Department costs will get US Passports back to you within 6-8 weeks. Or…you can order NOW, online and receive your passport within 24 hours. You can request expedited service from the US Passport Agency for an additional $60 plus overnight fees on top of each of these fees to get the US Passport in about three weeks.
If you need to get your US Passports faster, then it is a good idea to hire a US Passports expediter such as Rush My Passports . Passport expediting services, like us, have developed a relationship with the State Department and can hand-carry a limited amount of applications into the Agency on a daily basis. This relationship allows expediters to obtain US Passports as quick as in 24 hours or to save on the costs, a week-long service would save money with most companies. You’ll find the fees of a passport expediter to range from $199-$299 for same day service. Fees for a less-expedited service would range from $69-$99 for arrival in about 10 business days. You’ll find that private expediting services can help you take the stress out of the process if you need your passport quickly and get you on your trip!
